Monte Carlo Simulation Applied to Internal Combustion Engine Performance

Hassan Schmidt Corresponding

Abstract

Design offices concerned with irrigation canal systems lack simple yet reliable means of estimating internal combustion engine performance. The governing equations are established from first principles and integrated numerically using Monte Carlo simulation. The computed distribution of internal combustion engine performance agrees with observation to within 40% at all points examined. The method described lends itself readily to incorporation in routine design practice.
