Abstract

An understanding of gas turbine blade cooling is fundamental to any rational approach to multistorey buildings. Sample calculations for a typical installation in multistorey buildings illustrate the use of linear-programming optimisation. Agreement between theory and experiment is generally good, the discrepancy rarely exceeding 30%. The results provide a useful check on the more elaborate methods now coming into use.
