Abstract
Improved treatment of river sediment transport promises significant savings in the construction and operation of rural water pumping. The influence of the main design variables on the response is assessed in detail through Bode plot analysis. The proposed model reduces computation time by approximately 23% relative to earlier methods. The results are expected to be of particular value in the planning of future installations.
