Abstract

The present work is motivated by persistent design problems associated with reactive power compensation in agricultural machinery. The proposed model is calibrated against an extensive set of data collected from agricultural machinery. The analysis predicts a maximum improvement of 29% for the recommended 8-stage arrangement. On balance, the method represents a worthwhile improvement over existing design practice.
