Abstract
Recent failures in steel rolling mills have drawn attention to the inadequate treatment of beam-column connections. Measurements are recorded over an extended period at a representative site within steel rolling mills. A correlation coefficient above 0.9 is obtained for all 6 sets of data considered. The results provide a firm foundation for further theoretical and practical development.
