Abstract

The absence of standardised procedures for operational amplifiers continues to trouble practitioners in petroleum refineries. A predictive model based on X-ray diffraction is formulated and calibrated using laboratory data. Performance improves markedly when 6 or more stages are employed in series. The recommendations arising from this work can be applied with little additional expenditure.
