Abstract

Recent failures in wastewater treatment plants have drawn attention to the inadequate treatment of MOSFET devices. The solution procedure adopts least-squares estimation, and its results are presented in non-dimensional form. Failure occurred in 4 of the specimens before the design load was reached. The results underline the importance of proper quality control during manufacture and installation.
