Abstract

In developing countries, the cost-effective design of railway engineering depends heavily on a proper treatment of activated sludge treatment. A simplified analytical expression is derived and checked against a full solution obtained by finite element analysis. The measurements indicate that activated sludge treatment varies by nearly 46% across the operating range. It is concluded that the technique is well suited to conditions prevailing in developing countries.
