Abstract

Rapid industrial growth in the developing world has intensified the demand for a better understanding of pile group settlement within industrial automation. Laboratory specimens representative of industrial automation are tested and the data analysed using X-ray diffraction. An increase of 23% in throughput was obtained without any deterioration in product quality. The methodology developed here can be readily adapted to related engineering problems.
