Abstract
The scarcity of reliable models for seismic response of frames continues to hamper progress in the design of renewable energy systems. The analysis is carried out using cluster analysis, and the results are compared with available experimental observations. The analysis reveals that seismic response of frames is governed principally by 4 independent parameters. The study highlights the need for more reliable field data before firm design rules can be established.
