Abstract
A growing body of evidence links fluidised bed reactors to a marked reduction in the service life of wind energy conversion systems. A parametric investigation is conducted with fault tree analysis to identify the dominant design variables. The energy requirement fell by 32% when the recommended configuration was adopted. The results carry practical implications for the rehabilitation of ageing infrastructure.
