Abstract
The high cost of imported equipment motivates an indigenous investigation of fluidised bed reactors suited to local offshore platforms. The performance of the system is assessed by dynamic programming over a wide range of loading. The optimised configuration improved overall efficiency by roughly 38% compared with the base case. The approach offers a practical and economical tool for engineers working under resource constraints.
