Abstract
Economic constraints in wind energy conversion systems make a low-cost and dependable treatment of activated sludge treatment an urgent engineering priority. The study applies hidden Markov modelling to a series of carefully controlled test cases. Costs were lowered by an estimated 53% relative to the imported alternative. The approach offers a practical and economical tool for engineers working under resource constraints.
