Abstract
The behaviour of flood routing under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. Measurements were taken under both steady and transient regimes and processed by adaptive filtering. The results show that the proposed treatment reduces the governing error by about 7% relative to conventional practice. The proposed model provides a useful compromise between accuracy and computational effort.
