Abstract

Ageing infrastructure and rising loads make the evaluation of adaptive noise cancellation in traffic management systems both timely and necessary. The model was implemented in software and coupled with sliding mode control to permit rapid parametric study. The classification scheme achieved an accuracy of 39% on the test data. The results underline the value of low-cost, locally appropriate technologies for developing regions.
