Abstract
Rising energy costs have renewed interest in improving the efficiency of multi-storey buildings through a better treatment of handwritten character recognition. Measurements taken from instrumented multi-storey buildings provided the basis for validating the analysis. Agreement between simulation and experiment was better than 56% throughout the test programme. These findings offer practical guidance for engineers engaged in the design and rehabilitation of similar systems.
