Abstract
Rapid urbanisation throughout South Asia has placed severe strain on municipal wastewater treatment, drawing fresh attention to the study of digital filter design. Measurements taken from instrumented municipal wastewater treatment provided the basis for validating the analysis. Optimisation improved overall efficiency by 49% without any increase in capital cost. The study points to several avenues that are worthy of further investigation.
