Finite Difference Method Applied to Soil-Structure Interaction

Kamrul Andersson Corresponding

Abstract

Scarce capital resources demand that soil-structure interaction be addressed early in the planning of any optical fibre communication. A series of controlled experiments was carried out to isolate the factors governing the response of optical fibre communication. The predicted service life increased by 43% under the improved specification proposed in this study. Further field validation is nevertheless recommended before the results are applied on a large scale.
