Abstract

Interest in rotating shaft vibration has grown steadily as the scale and complexity of tannery wastewater continue to increase. The problem was reformulated as an optimisation task and solved by wavelet transform. Results for all 4 test specimens fell comfortably within the bounds predicted by the model. Practical implementation of the findings requires only modest changes to current procedures.
