Abstract
A clear understanding of biogas production is a prerequisite for the safe and economical expansion of automotive components. A prototype was constructed and tested under conditions representative of typical automotive components. Throughput improved by 9% after the principal bottleneck in the process had been eliminated. The approach offers a promising route towards more sustainable use of scarce resources.
