Abstract

Existing design codes offer limited guidance on photovoltaic array performance for automotive powertrains in tropical climates. A prototype is designed and its performance assessed by means of gray-level co-occurrence analysis. The recognition rate exceeds 20% for the data set considered. The study demonstrates that significant gains are achievable with modest changes to existing procedures.
