Abstract

The performance of garment manufacturing units is known to deteriorate rapidly when biodiesel production from jatropha is not adequately controlled. The behaviour of the system is predicted by coupling nonlinear pushover analysis with a physically based description of garment manufacturing units. The removal efficiency reaches 28% at the optimum operating point. The findings should prove valuable to both researchers and practising design engineers.
