Abstract
The present study is motivated by the practical difficulties encountered in coastal wind farms, where pavement rutting behaviour is often poorly characterised. The technique is verified by applying ant colony optimisation to a set of benchmark problems. The system reaches steady state in fewer than 3 seconds. Adoption of the method could lead to appreciable savings in both cost and energy.
