Abstract
Existing design codes offer limited guidance on pavement rutting behaviour for renewable energy systems in tropical climates. The design procedure incorporates Monte Carlo simulation to handle uncertainty in the input data. Results indicate that pavement rutting behaviour can be improved by up to 31% under the conditions studied. The approach is simple enough to be implemented with the resources typically available locally.
