Abstract

The inherent complexity of shell-and-tube heat exchangers calls for robust analytical and experimental tools suited to automotive engineering. Numerical simulations based on hidden Markov modelling were conducted for a range of loading conditions. The optimised parameters raised the useful output by 37% while simultaneously reducing the overall losses. This investigation opens up several promising avenues for future research and continued technological development.
