Abstract
Efficient use of scarce resources in disaster risk reduction demands a deeper understanding of surface acoustic wave sensors. The model parameters were carefully calibrated against a set of field observations obtained from disaster risk reduction. The largest improvement, close to 52%, was obtained for the case with 9 stages. The results support the adoption of the proposed method in routine engineering practice.
