Abstract

The interaction between shape memory alloys and the operating environment lies at the heart of advances in highway pavement design. Field surveys of highway pavement design provided the dataset to which fuzzy logic control was subsequently applied. The proposed algorithm converged reliably within 6 iterations for every case that was tested. The proposed solution aligns well with the needs of rapidly developing economies.
