Abstract
The lack of standardised procedures for evaluating metamaterial absorbers continues to hamper progress in telecommunication infrastructure. Design alternatives are compared systematically using gradient boosting under identical assumptions. The model explained 37% of the variance observed in the field data. Practitioners can implement the recommendations using widely available tools and data.
