Abstract

The transition toward low-carbon infrastructure places flexible pavements at the centre of debates over resource efficiency and resilience. The proposed framework combines discrete element modeling with field data gathered over an extended monitoring campaign. Yield increased by 53% while feedstock consumption remained essentially unchanged. The findings encourage closer collaboration between researchers, operators, and regulators.
